Rafting on the Zrmanja River
Beauty and the Beast

The Zrmanja River is the only river in Croatia that has a variable water level - a hydro plant allows both kayaking and rafting!
That's why the Zrmanja is called ˝Beauty and the Beast˝
Our ability to use rafts on the river depends on the water level, and thus the level of rain and snow. Depending on conditions, the rafting season ends around the 15th of May and begins again on the 15th of September. When rafts are unusable we also offer kayak tours down the Zrmanja.
Each participant receives the following equipment: a neoprene suit, protective helmet, life jacket and should also bring the following: a bathing suit, an extra T-shirt and shoes for water or some old sneakers in which you can go into the river. We prefer guests to have their own water shoes or old sneakers, because these have better stability and grip than the neoprene shoes all guests wear. We suggest this because there is one 11m high waterfall that we pass on foot and the terrain is steep.
After getting the equipment and instructions from the skipper, who will tell you about the river and behavior on the river, you will be able to experience the 14.5-km long rafting trail. Our rafts are designed to fit a crew of 6-12 people, plus our skipper.
The trip usually takes between 2,5 – 3,5 hours depending on the group in each raft.
